Hello Friends and Family,

This blog is intended to encourage, promote, and teach about how to garden with your preschooler family style.  In this blog, we will be posting a month-to-month gardening schedules.  This blog was started by a class project and put together via internet by a group of classmates.   We will include in this blog activities, field trips, books, and other web sites that promote and support gardening with your preschooler and family.

Why did we choose this topic?  We believe that their is so much children can learn through hands on experience with gardening.  Children will learn how to care, take responsibility, cycle of life, where food comes from, a sense of pride, and most important, a connection with nature.  We also worked with a preschool class to come up with ideas around what to plant in the garden.  So, some of these ideas are coming from children.
